Objectives:
- Ensuring play-based learning opportunities for young Ukrainian refugee children in Moldova
- Supporting refugee parents in childcare and integration into host communities
- Strengthening the quality, inclusiveness, and accessibility of education and care systems in the Republic of Moldova, based on child-centered principles
Beneficiaries:
- 15 Play-and-Learning Hubs (PLH) established in 15 Community Centers and kindergartens across Moldova
- 500 Ukrainian refugee children and 100 children from host communities benefiting from PLH services
- 300 Ukrainian refugee parents receiving mental health and psychosocial support services
- Support, training in positive parenting, and Romanian language courses
- 135 events organized for Ukrainian and host families with young children (including thematic excursions with experiential learning opportunities, puppet shows, and other community events)
- 15,300 Ukrainian refugee children and families, as well as host children and families, participating in events
- 16 national trainers and 454 local trainers trained in MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) and Child-Centered Education (CCE) approaches
- 1,518 Early Childhood Education (ECE) staff trained in play-based learning
- 4,900 ECE teachers from Chișinău and Bălți municipalities, as well as the regions of Cahul, Ungheni, Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă, and Ialoveni, trained in MHPSS and CC
