Project Goal: Strengthening the capacities of university and pedagogical college professors to develop the competencies of future teaching professionals for promoting Child-Centered Education (CCE).
Activities Undertaken:
- Central training (3 days): Conducted for representatives of colleges and universities involved in teacher training (from departments of Psychology, Pedagogy, and Didactics), resulting in the formation of a team of 48 local trainers.
- One-day follow-up meeting: Organized with local trainers to deepen their skills as trainers and agents of change within the system.
- Consulting and mentoring activities: Provided to support the local trainers’ team.
- Local training sessions: Held in 16 colleges and universities offering teacher training, organized by the local trainers’ team.
- Monitoring of local training sessions: Conducted through visits by central experts and mentoring support.
- Consultation by Step by Step experts: Offered to teams of professors (groups of five professors from various pedagogical institutions) to adjust curricula for special didactics courses in Language, History, Foreign Languages, Chemistry, Mathematics, and to experimentally validate the CCL methodology.
- Two training sessions: Held for one representative from each of the five disciplines in all 16 institutions, focusing on the changes required for the new education paradigm.
- Workshop for administrative staff: Conducted for leaders of colleges and universities involved in teacher training, focusing on developing local strategies for implementing CCE at the institutional level.
- Three-day training: Delivered to methodological professors from 16 institutions (two per institution) responsible for student practice, introducing them to the CCE/CCL concept.
