Promoting Quality Inclusive Child-Centered Practices In Pre-Schools and Schools, and Applying CFS Model for Schools’ Strategic Development

Project objective: promoting a complex approach to school transformation approach based on the model of CFS and quality inclusive learner-centered practices

Project outcomes:

•    New partnerships with Singerei district educational authorities, 3 lyceums’ and 3 kindergatens’ mangers established.

•    Tools for school self-evaluation and support materials developed

•    10 facilitators trained for the schools self-evaluation exercises and action plans development

•    3 schools have developed plans after self-evaluation exercises (total number of participants – 124 persons)

•    3  managerial teams – 30 participants – trained to promote shared leadership and participatory decision-making

•    The model of on-the-job teacher professional development through coaching and group mentoring exercised (whole-school trainings – 105 cumulative participation

•    36 preschool teachers and 25 primary teachers trained to improve skills for inclusive child-centered practices

•    Inter-institutional teacher cooperation increased in 3 project communities  to smooth children’s transition from kindergarten to school based on a shared holistic, child-centered approach to children’s learning and development Schools’ cross-level teacher cooperation improved based on a more critical understanding of how the values, beliefs and attitudes they act upon favour or disfavour children’s inclusion, their relations with  the parents and other stakeholders, etc.
