Organizing day camps in Chisinau for Ukrainian refugee children and training teachers to respond to the crisis situation

Project objective

In partnership with UNICEF Moldova and with the support of the administration of the Republican Puppet Theater, SBSM developed a whole series of activities for the Ukrainian refugee children and families

– 12,037 children aged 3-17 years participated in 3 types of programs, designed to meet the needs identified together with the beneficiaries;

– 7,517 children aged 3-17 years benefited from meals/snacks;

– 1,721 children received individual kits (hygiene items and development toys – Lego, puzzles);

– Over 3500 Ukrainian adults (parents, grandparents participating in interactive sessions);

–  SBSM offered 3 online training modules, entitled “Teachers building social cohesion in the context of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine” for 1,670 teachers and administrators of kindergartens and schools in Chisinau municipality and 22 Ukrainian teachers and volunteers
