Integrating the Developmental Component Into the Pre-Service and In-Service Training of Nurses and Family Practitioners

Project results:

– Faculty from the Medical University, 5 nursing colleges and 2 nurses’ continuous professional development centers were helped embrace an integrating approach to child growth and development, incorporating into their training curricular the developmental component.

–  A coursebook on Developmental Pediatrics  by Cassie Landers was translated and published

–  University and college faculty were trained to develop curricular on its basis

–  Trainers of nurses were trained to apply a holistic approach to child development and learning

– 3 regional trainings for visiting nurses were organized on integrating the developmental component into the health services.
