Inclusive Education for Ukrainian Refugees and vulnerable host community members in Moldova

Project aim: Expansion of Early Childhood Services in Moldova – Public and Family-type Creches
Project overall objective: in response to the officially lowered admission age for children to ECD services (from 2), SBSM follows the aim to build the specific competences of the teachers working with younger children
In the first project phase, SSBM developed training modules and organized training activities (3 rounds of 3-day sessions) for 74 public creche teachers from 51 state kindergartens, as follows:
- 23 kindergartens with UNICEF established PLH expanded 32 creche groups
- 28 preschool institutions with 50 creche groups from across the country, which where selected though government grants to create or extend creche groups.
All these creche groups benefitted from furniture, developmental toys, games and children books through UNICEF support.
The second phase SBSM organized trainings for practitioners who have set 15 family-type creches with Street Child support.
