Project goal: to support the modernization of pre- and in-service teacher training in Moldova by focusing it on child/student learning approach as first step for transforming schools in child/student friendly institutions.

Step by Step Moldova as consulting agency provided technical to reach the following objectives:

Objective 1.To offer support to 15 selected faculty from teacher training colleges, universities and the Institute of Educational Science – future curriculum designers – in developing a common understanding of the Child/Student Centered Learning (further CCL) approach

Objective 2.To provide expert input and offer guidance to the group of trained faculty-authors to develop modules for teacher pre- and in-service that would prepare teacher students to promote learning that is child/student centered versus teacher centered.

Objective 3.  To provide expertise of the drafts and continuous guidance on modules development

Objective 4. To monitor the implementation of the modules in pilot institutions

Objective 5. To provide a training of trainers for the local resource teams from the faculty from teacher training colleges, universities and the Institute of Educational Science (45 participants) to help build inner institutional capacities for promoting change
