Developing educational services for children and adolescents in Cahul and Ungheni regions

Project objective: supporting pre-school and primary school levels relevant actors for Child-Centered Methodology and Formative Assessment implementation.

Project results:

Output 1.

– the skills of 22 national trainers/mentors for the implementation of the child-centered methodology and  on formative assessment strengthened

– new  training modules and support materials for teachers and parents promoting CCE and respect for diversity developed.

Output 2.

– the capacities of 464  preschool teachers from Cahul and Ungheni for implementing the formative assessment of young children (qualitative assessment methods) as central to child-centered enhanced (242 from Cahul, 222 from Ungheni)

– 24 mentoring sessions to 12 kindergartens (6 in Cahul and 6 in Ungheni regions) to support the development of communities of reflective practitioners organized

Output 3.

– 46 kindergarten methodologists, educators and inspectors from Local Departments of Education trained  to promote and monitor the implementation of formative assessment.

Output 4

– the capacities of all 1235 primary school teachers from Cahul and Ungheni districts to use formative assessment (qualitative assessment methods rather than marks ) strengthened (through in-person or on-line trainings due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
