Developing a Democratic Values-Based Approach in Implementing The Child Friendly School (CFS) Model

Project objective: deepening and expanding the positive results of the holistic school transformation strategy based on the CFS model

The project aimed to deepen and expand the positive results of the implementation of the holistic school transformation strategy based on the PHC model, focusing primarily on 9 new institutions (2 in Sângerei and 7 in rural district communities) with the full range of project activities, while also involving at different levels another 25 institutions, so as to extend the range of action to all high schools and gymnasiums of the Sangerei district, with a total number of 8568 students.

Project activities:

  • 3 Singerei raion partner lyceums piloted the new value-based approach in CFS application for the comprehensive transformative processes towards inclusive, child/learner centered education
  • The school improvement action plans were developed (at the beginning of the school year) and reviewed (at the end of the schools year, through participatory processes, that are becoming part of school culture
  • The cooperation of teachers and practice sharing increased, even during the pandemic, due to interactive trainings and mentoring, first, face-to-face, from March – online.

New formats and materials for distance learning were developed.
